Long established as one of the Middle East’s foremost style icons, Ingie Chalhoub is a fashion innovator who is constantly pushing the boundaries of high end luxury in the Middle Eastern region and has done so since the foundation of the Etoile Group in 1983 when she opened the first ever Chanel boutique in the Region.

Being the first to notice the potential of high-end fashion in the region, Ingie built sustainable partnerships with prestigious maisons like Chanel, Valentino, and Ralph Lauren. Striving for more she became the trusted regional ambassador of TOD’s, Hogan and most recently ISSA and Anya Hindmarch. The success of the group, and its quick expansion from just one to more than 80 boutiques and 500-plus employees across the Middle East, is evidence of her drive and focus.

Eager to increase the presence of the Etoile Group in the Gulf shaping it with her own vision on fashion, Ingie launched Etoile ‘La Boutique’ in 2005, recognizable by its lavish-fusion interiors and selective buying range, this new addition to the group truly revolutionizes the regional fashion industry. The ultra-luxurious, multi-brand boutique is now a regional success with a strong presence in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Jeddah, and Riyadh with tremendous expansion plans for Al-Khobar in the near future.

Seeking and embracing new challenges, Ingie Chalhoub started her own demi-couture line, Ingie Paris, in 2009. Combining the French craftsmanship and the glamour of the Middle East, Ingie Paris is now producing 4 collections per year of exquisite luxury ready-to-wear. Since its launch six years ago, Ingie Chalhoub has been studying the market and adjusting the offering, evolving from a small collection of delicate evening gowns to a complete proposal of cocktail dresses, daywear ensembles, knitwear pieces and accessories. The distribution of the line has also been expanding with a presence not only throughout the GCC, but in also Turkey and Western and Eastern Europe too. In 2013, the brand reached an important milestone by opening its first flagship store in Kuwait in the ‘Prestige’ area of The Avenues mall and in 2015 it has seen the launch of its first e-boutique. In early 2016, Ingie Paris will be opening two other locations: one in Abu Dhabi at The Galleria mall and one in Riyadh at Kingdom Mall.

Loved and recognized, Ingie’s creations have been worn on the red carpet by Hollywood actresses like Sarah Wayne Callies and Rhea Seahorn, international supermodel Natalia Vodianova, and regional talents like Nelly Karim and Haifa Wehbe.

Praised by her peers and the media for her style, acumen and creative sense of business, Ingie has received numerous awards in her career including the titles of ‘L’Officiel Woman of the Year’ and ‘Emirates Women’s Woman of the Year’ in 2008 and 2009. She has also received the designation of ‘ELLE Business Woman of the Year” in 2013. CEO Middle East and Arabian Business included her in their lists of the ‘100 Most Powerful Arab Women’ from 2011 to 2015 and, in 2014, Forbes Middle East ranked her #10 in the Family Businesses out of the ‘200 Most Powerful Arab Women’.

Very eager to share her experience and knowledge, Ingie Chalhoub has been an advisory board member for Dubai International Fashion Week and had a prominent position on the panel of Mission Fashion on LBC1 for three consecutive years; she also participated in Project Fashion on Future TV in 2007 and, in 2014, was selected by the Middle East’s leading online fashion website Syle.com/Arabia to be one of the contributors and regular editor of “Voices”, a new initiative with a mission to represent the voice of a region pushing the boundaries of culture at home and abroad.

Most recently, she has received the prestigious Murex D’Or award in Lebanon in June 2015 for a ‘Lifetime Achievement of a Lebanese Pioneer in the Fashion Business Worldwide” and in September 2015 she was ranked #56 of the ‘100 Most Powerful Arab Women”.
